The annual Easter Celebration egg-travaganza will be held at the Darwin Waterfront on Saturday 31 March 2018 from 9am to 1pm.
Mr and Mrs Easter Bunny will be nestled in their Bunny Burrow where children can meet them for a professional photo and receive a free chocolate egg and balloon.
There is even more free family festival egg-citement this year including three jumping castles, two waterslides, wildlife encounters, circus workshop, sand art, festival glitters and cheek art, craft station, balloon twisting and archery attack.
The little ones will be able to get active with a YMCA ‘Kidz-Fit’ session or a bout of come ‘n’ try hockey on an inflatable field.
Pack a picnic for the day and relax on the lawns while soaking up the sunshine. Make a splash in the Recreation Lagoon and float around on the free giant water inflatables.
There will be a live kids’ DJ streaming festive tunes in the parklands to entertain and keep the Easter atmosphere alive.
Hop along the Easter egg trail throughout the event and collect
a stamp and a few chocolate treats at each stop to go into the draw to win
a family dinner sunset cruise aboard the Cape Adieu.
Children
(up to 14 years) can enter the colouring-in competition for a chance to win an
overnight accommodation voucher at The Vibe or any Australian TFE hotel. Other
prizes include vouchers from Curve Cafe and Bar, Thirsty Zac and a Family Wave
Lagoon Pass.
Precinct restaurants and cafes will have a variety of food options available on the day. There will also be snack stalls operating on the lawns along with a sausage sizzle fundraiser.
The Wave Lagoon will be open early (at 9am) on Easter Saturday and is open every other day from 10am to 6pm over the Easter long weekend (including Good Friday).
