CrownBet Darwin Triple Crown Race & Rock entertainment announced

Northern Territory Major Events Company

With less than three months to go until the 2018 CrownBet Darwin Triple Crown, fans can look forward to an epic entertainment line-up, including two huge concerts, as the event celebrates its 21st birthday this year.

Tickets for the 2018 CrownBet Darwin Triple Crown are now on sale. The epic Race & Rock line-up means that fans can see some of the best Australian live music plus three full days of on and off track action for just $99.

On Saturday 16 June, Australian rock favourites Jet and The Rubens will perform to a bumper post-race crowd.  On Sunday 17 June, hip hop trio Bliss n Eso, alongside Thundamentals and Mallrat, will bring the house down with a high energy post-race party.

Jet have received huge accolades for their live performances since regrouping in 2017 while The Rubens are one of Australia’s most revered contemporary artists.

Bliss n Eso’s Jonathan Notley (MC Bliss) said the band is stoked to be returning to Darwin for a special one-off performance for fans at the Triple Crown.

“The opportunity to perform at the Triple Crown is one we couldn’t refuse! Hidden Valley is one of the best events on the calendar and we are pumped to be heading back to Darwin to soak in the event and perform for fans,” he said.

Notley hit the go-kart track with Supercars drivers Nick Percat and Cam Waters this week to get in the zone ahead of the event in June.

“I think I gave it a good crack out on the track with these two professionals! I can’t wait to see them in action in a couple of months’ time,” he added.

Bliss n Eso is one of Australia’s favourite home-grown hip hop bands. They have released six studio albums since 2004, including three number 1 debuts on the ARIA Charts. They won an ARIA Award for Best Video for their 2017 song Moments.

Together with Thundamentals and Mallrat, they will bring a hip hop theme to the event on Sunday 17 June to close-out the impressive birthday celebrations.

Through Northern Territory Major Events Company, the Government contributes just over $3 million every year to bring the Supercars to Darwin, an investment that returns $16 million to the Territory economy annually and brings approximately 4,000 interstate visitors to each race.

Over 40,000 spectators attend the Supercars in Darwin every year.

The CrownBet Darwin Triple Crown will take place from 15-17 June, 2018
