What: The final round of inspections is currently underway for phase 4 of the National Banana Freckle Eradication Program. If no detections of the banana freckle fungus are made in these final inspections, the Territory will be able to make a proof of freedom submission to be declared free from banana freckle.

Where: 25 Hillier Rd, Howard Springs.

When: Thursday 8 March, 10.30am.

Visions: The two hectare property has 10 banana plants that will be inspected for the fungus.

Please note: each person coming onto the property (including media) will need to have their footwear decontaminated prior to leaving the asphalt driveway and proceeding to the grassed area where the banana plants are growing. Several contamination options will be available for different types of footwear.
