Hundreds of travel agents in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne are being targeted with the message of the NT is Closer Than You Think as part of the annual NT Muster roadshow aimed at attracting more visitors to the NT.
Department of Tourism and Culture Acting Deputy CEO Andrew Hopper said the NT Muster roadshow is designed to bring the NT to Australia’s eastern seaboard with 28 NT Operators set to showcase their tourism products to more than 300 key travel agents and inbound tour operators.
“The NT is Closer Thank You Think theme aims to enlighten travel consultants on travel distances to the Territory with the showcase offering an opportunity to promote the NT’s unique tourism experiences and meet the people behind the product,” Mr Hopper said.
“The NT operators attending represent accommodation, attractions, touring and transport services right across the Territory including first time exhibitors Outback Floatplanes, Nautilus Aviation, Brookes Australia Tours, Kings Creek Station, Mercure Alice Springs Resort and Uluru Segway Tours.
“This year’s muster will also be an opportunity to promote the Northern Territory Government $103 million Turbocharging Tourism stimulus package that will help to attract more visitors to the NT with $26.57 million for smarter and more targeted tourism marketing.”
The NT Muster roadshow commences in Sydney today, 6 March, Brisbane Wednesday 7 March before the final show in Melbourne on Thursday 8 March 2018.
