Access to the Daly River area including Woolianna and Nauiyu remains restricted as the emergency situation remains in place. 

Access to the area requires a Special Consent Application to be lodged which can be downloaded from the road report website https://roadreport.nt.gov.au/information .Completed and signed applications should be emailed to roadreporting.ntg@nt.gov.au.

People planning to return to their homes in the Daly River area must also comply with emergency management directions from Police and authorised officers to ensure their health and safety.

Properties that have been inundated require a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) issued by a qualified electrician before pole fuses will be reconnected. Power and Water Corporation is not responsible for internal house checks.

Road inspection to access the Daly River community is planned for Thursday 8 February 2018. The road will remain closed to the community until the inspection is completed and verified as passable.

It is important for the safety of local residents and emergency service personnel, that all road blocks and restrictions are followed.
