Department of Health hold concerns for a missing 34 year old indigenous man who for legal reasons can only be identified as "JW". He went missing from supervised care provided by a community based NGO on 6 December.
As per the Top End Health Service protocols Mental Health Services, the family and NT Police were immediately notified, however his current whereabouts remain unknown.
It is believed he may have left the Territory.
JW has an illness that requires medication and care.

In light of recent events the Chief Minister has requested a full independent audit of the management and service model for this cohort of clients, including public media protocols between Health and Police.
A broader review of forensic services is also being established.
