Tourism NT is hosting five Singaporean incentive agents and media in Darwin from 6 to 8 December, following Tourism Australia’s signature biennial business events showcase, Dreamtime 2017.
The group of Singaporean agents and media will enjoy an educational and custom-designed incentive program to a number of pre-determined locations.
Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Department of Tourism and Culture, Andrew Hopper, said Dreamtime is a business to business trade marketing event designed to showcase Australia’s most outstanding incentive experiences.
“Dreamtime offers international incentive agents an opportunity to meet with the Australian business events industry at one-on-one meetings as well as being able to experience Australia’s incentive product personally on tailored familiarisation programs,” said Mr Hopper.
“Held every two years in a different Australian destination, the Dreamtime program consists of pre-scheduled business to business appointments between Australian industry and international incentive agents, complemented by social networking events to provide added opportunities for industry and agents to connect.”
Dreamtime 2017 will aim to secure approximately 120 qualified international business events decision makers, all with potential long-haul business for Australia, and international trade media from ten key markets.
The markets are Greater China (China and Hong Kong), India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, United Kingdom and North America (The USA and Canada). Australian trade media also attend Dreamtime.
Tourism NT will participate in Dreamtime to support Business Events Australia’s objective to increase international understanding of Australia's ability to deliver bespoke and large-scale incentive experiences.
Key events in the program include Dreamtime Business Session: a full-day, face-to-face business session of pre-scheduled appointments providing the industry with the opportunity to meet and do business with international incentive agents. A networking lunch with incentive agents is included in the Business Session.
Dreamtime Welcome Function and Dreamtime Dinner provide additional opportunities for industry to develop relationships and have further discussions with international incentive agents and media.
