NT COVID-19 update
24 December 2021
The Northern Territory has recorded 10 new cases of COVID-19.
One case is linked to the NT outbreak, bringing the total number of cases to 132.
This new case is a known close contact from a previous case from Tennant Creek and Barrow Creek who was already in quarantine.
The remaining nine cases include one overseas arrival and the rest are from interstate.
They are not connected to the NT outbreak. They are in isolation at home, at the Centre for National Resilience, or being assessed in hospital.
There are currently 10 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including 1 in ICU.
Low risk contacts
It is important all people in the NT check the COVID-19 website to review the list of NT public exposure sites [https://coronavirus.nt.gov.au/stay-safe/case-location-alerts-and-close-contacts]. The website will list any flights that entered the NT where passengers are considered low risk contacts.
