The Ultimate Festival of Wheels is set to make its return to Alice Springs on Father’s Day weekend 2017 and will be bringing one of Australia’s biggest rock names with it to headline Rock N Rumble.

Rock N Rumble will feature the nation’s biggest annual Street Parade followed by a night of nothing but Crawl, when Aussie music legend James Reyne takes his “James Reyne plays Australian Crawl” tour to Red CentreNATS 03.

The Australian Crawl front man, Reyne has sold more than two million albums and written some of the most memorable Australian rock anthems of all time including “Reckless”, “The Boy Light Up” and “Beautiful People”.

NT Major Events General Manager Andrew Hopper said James Reyne will set the tone for an epic Father’s Day weekend bringing Australian Crawl’s biggest hits front and centre at Red CentreNATS.

“Red CentreNATS will feature not only three days of automotive competition and action, but also entertainment for the whole family across Alice Springs” said Mr Hopper

“James Reyne has been an iconic artist in the Australian musical landscape for over 4 decades, and is as synonymous to Australian Crawl as Barnsey is to Cold Chisel.

Red CentreNATS, in association with Summernats, is a celebration of all things “wheels” and will showcase the very best in street machines, elite show cars, hot rods, classics & exotics.

“In 2016 we had a whopping 728 entrants participate including bikes and cars.

“In 2017 we are tracking towards record numbers for entrants; up by 42% on the same time as 2016.

The Northern Territory Government will continue to give entrants the unique opportunity to apply for Temporary Registration Permits to use Red CentreNATS road cruise routes around Alice Springs over the weekend.

“This will allow vehicles usually relegated to the trailer to cruise the streets of Alice Springs”, Mr Hopper said.

Red CentreNATS will run from Friday 1 – Sunday 3 September 2017.
