Mother’s Day Saltwater Craft Fair

Darwin Waterfront Corporation

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and the Saltwater Craft Fair offers hundreds of gift ideas to make mum’s day special.

“Mums deserve the absolute best, and that’s exactly what you will find this Sunday’s market with over 60 of the Territory’s best artisans and craftspeople selling their wares on the day,” Shae Fisher, General Manager of Tactile Arts said.

“At the craft fair you’re guaranteed quality products and gifts which your mum will cherish for years to come.”

“All the items on sale have been made from the hands of Territory artists who have taken their time and care in each item sold to ensure you’re buying a truly superior product.”

“The items are often as unique as the individual who made them.”

“The extensive range of products on offer at this year’s fair includes silver, glass and woven jewellery, ceramic plates, platters, tea cups, home décor, colourful printed fabrics, silk, cushion covers, cards and organic beauty products.”

“There’s something truly wonderful about buying an item directly from a local artist; it’s a completely different experience to purchasing a mass-produced product which was made on the other side of the world.”

“Different to other craft markets, the Saltwater Craft Fair has become renowned for selling some of the best contemporary handmade wares in the Territory.”

“Make a day of it at the Darwin Waterfront with plenty of places to enjoy breakfast or lunch, or simply bring a picnic blanket and enjoy the live music by the Recreation Lagoon until 4pm.”

The Mother’s Day Saltwater Craft is on Sunday 7 May 2017 from 9am to 2pm.

Two hours free parking is available at the Kitchener Drive multi-storey car park or patrons can park for free on road on the weekend.
