Leanyer Recreation Park Family Fun Day

Department of Tourism, Sport and Culture

The Northern Territory Government is kicking off the Dry Season with a free Family Fun Day at Leanyer Recreation Park on Saturday, 6 May.

Department of Tourism and Culture, Executive Director Sport and Recreation, Philip Leslie said the Leanyer Recreation Park is home to the famous slides and an ideal spot for the whole family to enjoy.

As well as the regular water park attractions, there will be two jumping castles - one for the “big kids” plus the Nemo Climb and Slide for the under 5s,” said Mr Leslie.

“There will also be face painting, glitter tattoos, arts and craft activities.

“The Wild Thingz Animal Encounter will be there providing a great opportunity for children to learn about native wildlife.

“It’s a great opportunity to get the kids out in the fresh air and enjoying our healthy outdoor lifestyle.”

Mr Leslie said families can pack a picnic lunch or purchase food at the café.

The Family Fun Day will be held from 10am – 2pm.
