Darwin’s first local start-up bubble-tea, smoothie and juice bar, Thirsty Zac, will open its doors at the Darwin Waterfront (next to Fiddler’s Green) in May 2017.

The newly established business is owned and operated by husband and wife team, Zac and Diana. Zac was born and bred in Darwin and he knows exactly how thirsty Darwinites can get in the Top End’s climate. Diana was born in South Korea and has made Darwin her home after falling in love with the people and lifestyle.

“We know how thirsty Darwinites are, so we’ve developed a specialised range of beverages to satisfy the driest of thirsts,” business owner Zac said.

“At Thirsty Zac there are plenty of thirst-quenchers to choose from with; nine bubble iced teas, five smoothies and four different fresh juices on offer.”

“The bubble iced tea will be brewed freshly and served in yummy flavours with fun toppings such as tapioca pearls or coconut jelly.”

“For a healthy nutritional hit – our smoothies are made with various fresh fruits, Greek yogurt and sweetened with Australian honey. You can add ‘kickers’ to your smoothies which include vegan protein, immune-boosters and pro-biotic. If you need dairy free we can also change the base ingredient into coconut, soy or almond milk or even coconut water with coconut yogurt.”

“Juices are all made to order and served freshly with no other ingredients, only fruit and/or veggies.”

“We’ll also serve cold brew coffee on ice or milk, special seasonal juices and smoothies, smoothie bowls, cookies, macarons, and cakes.”
