It’s a Supercharged, Supercars party with two nights of sensational entertainment announced for the RACE & ROCK concerts at Hidden Valley.

Australia’s biggest Hip Hop success Hilltop Hoods will ignite the stage on Saturday night, joined by Melbourne rapper ILLY.

With multi-platinum albums, and 7 ARIA awards, the announcement comes after Hilltop Hoods electrifying performance at the Clipsal 500 on the weekend.

NT Major Events General Manager Andrew Hopper said the entertainment would add an exciting element to an action-packed weekend.

“I am very pleased to announce Hilltop Hoods will be headlining the Saturday night concert,” Mr Hopper said.

“The Supercars weekend generates great exposure for the Northern Territory as a tourism destination and provides a boost to the local economy through business and hospitality.

“Fans will certainly be in for a 20th birthday treat on what is one of the biggest weekends on the Territory sports calendar.”

Regarded as one of Australia’s hardest working bands, Hilltop Hoods will perform hands in the air favourites from their swag of platinum hits after a day of racing and entertainment at Hidden Valley.

“I would like to congratulate Hilltop Hoods for taking the number 4 spot with 1955 in triple j’s Hottest 100 and ILLY with the number 7 spot for Papercuts,” Mr Hopper said.

Sunday’s entertainment will see ARIA Hall of Fame legend Russell Morris and the world’s first travelling dance party Hot Dub Time Machine continue the party well into the night. Playing songs in strict order from 1954 – 2015, Hot Dub Time Machine is all about singing, dancing and having a great time.

Sunday party revellers are encouraged to dress the part and wear their best retro gear to the track.

Although no strangers to Darwin, this will be the first time any of the weekend’s entertainment have performed at Hidden Valley.

“We look forward to seeing both old and new faces for the 20th year party.  Whether you have been to one or all twenty Hidden Valley rounds, everyone is invited to the biggest party in Darwin this June,” Mr Hopper said.
