What: Two Top End turtles found in dire straits last year are set for a return home to the wild tomorrow morning. Media are invited to film Chompa the olive ridley and Gretchen the green sea turtle today at Charles Darwin University’s rehabilitation facility where they’ve spent the past few months.

Where: CDU’s turtle rehabilitation facility is at Building Pink 3 (see map attached). There will be parking available at the back of Building Pink 3 where attending media will be asked to assemble before making their way to the aquatic tanks where Chompa and Gretchen are currently located.

When: Midday today.

Who: Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) marine threatened species scientist Rachel Groom and CDU Head of Horticulture, Scott McDonald, will be available for interview today.
