There are currently in excess of 170 restrictions on Northern Territory Government controlled roads across all regions.
Motorists should be aware some roads are in poor condition and care must be taken at all times.
The Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics is working hard to provide regular updates through the Road Report NT website www.roadreport.nt.gov.au
Motorists are reminded to drive to conditions and never attempt to cross flooded causeways.
Some of the significant roads currently impacted across the BARKLY REGION include:
Tablelands Hwy – impassable due to flooding;
Wollogorang Road – closed due to flooding;
Kurundi Road – partly closed, partly 4.5t restriction;
Barkly Stock Route – impassable due to flooding;
Ranken Road – impassable due to flooding;
Calvert Road – impassable due to flooding;
Murray Downs Road – impassable due to flooding;
Sandover Highway – closed from Ampilatwtja to the QLD border.
Motorists are reminded to Check. Plan. Go before setting out on any road trip across the Territory.
