The
Parks and Wildlife Commission of the Northern Territory will be hosting the
Alice Springs Telegraph Station Open Day and Markets on Sunday the 23rd
of April and are looking for stall holders and volunteers.
Home based business, community groups, artists and local retailers are encouraged to apply for a market stall at the annual event.
The Open Day and Markets is part of the National Trusts, Alice Springs Heritage Festival and last year 2500 people attended the free community event, in the beautiful historic setting of the Telegraph Station.
Senior Park Ranger Shirley Butler said “We are hoping the 2017 Open Day and Markets will again be a great experience for volunteers, stallholder and people attending, so please consider being involved in this free community event”.
“It’s a friendly fun family event for all members of the community and has something for everyone to enjoy including craft demonstrations, market stalls, entertainment, children’s games and wonderful food stalls.”
The Telegraph Station Park Rangers are also seeking people to volunteer and share their skills either in old fashioned activities or demonstrations, music or to assist with the running of the market.
Applications close on the 13th of April.
