Four men are being investigated by Parks and Wildlife Rangers after firearms and deceased animals were seized from a vehicle just outside Adelaide River.

Northern Territory Police approached a vehicle parked on the Stuart Highway just outside the Adelaide River Township about midnight.

Members stopped to speak with four persons inside the vehicle when they observed the firearms and deceased wildlife.

The men were arrested on suspicion of poaching and are assisting the authorities with further enquiries.
