Mealmates is an initiative that was co-founded by local Territorian Lisa Fraser to connect people and a community through food.
Mealmates will host their first ever all-you-can-eat ‘Burger Graze’ at the iconic Stokes Hill Wharf on Saturday 5 November 2016.
Darwin’s Biggest Burger Graze at Stokes Hill Wharf will dish-up an endless supply of burgers, sliders and sides thanks to Portside Chargrill between 12 noon to 5 pm.
“With eight different types of burgers on offer there’s a burger for everyone; from the classic beef, chicken, kangaroo, crocodile and even vegan and vegetarian burgers,” event organiser Lisa Fraser said.
“An unlimited supply
of burgers is a dream come true for some, and what better way to gorge on this
all-time favourite meal than on the wharf with a few friends?”
“Stokes Hill Wharf has been a meeting place for generations of Darwin locals,
and the event provides another reason for locals to revisit the wharf and enjoy
old-fashioned, quality food at an affordable price.”
“We’ll be creating a relaxed and casual harbour-side dining experience with live music throughout the event and drink specials all afternoon at the bar.”
“If burgers aren’t your thing, there are several other food retailers which will be open for lunch, and it’ll still a great day out with friends and family.”
“We’ve had a tremendous response so far. Tickets are for this event are pre sale only, we encourage anyone who is interested to pre-purchase tickets to avoid disappointment.”
Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased online at https://mealmates-darwinburgergraze.eventbrite.com.au or by visiting the Mealmates Facebook page.
Parking is limited. However it is easy to park at the beginning of the wharf and catch the free continuous shuttle bus to and from Indo Pacific Marine between 12pm and 10pm on Saturday 5 November 2016.
