The Pop Up Discovery Trail returns to the Alice Springs Telegraph Station this weekend, back by popular demand.
Parks and Wildlife Commission NT (PWCNT) community engagement officer, Susie Armes, said the trail first popped up in April this year for the school holiday break and is back for a second round following very positive feedback.
“The Alice Springs Telegraph Station is a great place for people to relax, have fun and enjoy, especially during the school holidays,” Ms Armes said.
“With map in hand, kids will be able to follow the trail markers to feel, smell and track their way from start to finish, connecting with nature along the way and discovering more about the environment.
“The trail is aimed at kids aged 4 to 10, but is a great way for families to spend time and have fun together.
“The trail is only installed for a limited time, so make sure you visit the Telegraph Station during the school holidays, grab your map from outside the Trail Station and have a go."
The Pop Up Trail starts on 1 October and participants are urged to wear sturdy shoes, a hat and bring along their own water bottle.
