Free buses to Darwin Festival events

In true community spirit, buses to and from Darwin Festival events are once again free to the public.

From now until Sunday 21 August, bus passengers presenting a 2016 Darwin Festival ticket or volunteer accreditation pass can travel free of charge on the urban routes to and from the event.

Provision of this service makes it easier for people to attend and participate in events and reduces reliance on private vehicles.

Utilising public transport for events such as this significantly improves traffic management, minimises the stress of finding a carpark and hassle-free departure from venues at the end of an event; and reduces the likelihood of road accidents.

Last year, this service was well patronised with many locals and tourists using the service to move easily between events.

Bus travel information can be found on both the Darwin Festival 2016 website as well as the NT Buses Facebook page.
