Health and wellness will be the focus tomorrow (Saturday, 4 June 2016) from 10am to 3pm at the Darwin Waterfront.
The festival has been coordinated by YMCA and Camp
Quality in an effort to promote healthy living for Territorians.
“We want to empower people to create their own
journey to wellness,” Amy Brady, Fundraising Coordinator, Camp Quality NT said.
“In an age where fast food, long working hours and stress are becoming more prevalent, it’s important that people stop to consider their own well-being and think about the health they want to achieve.”
“It’s also about getting our local community together to support our local health businesses and not-for-profit groups.”
Over 25 exhibitors will present with displays, including a Love Thy Juice stall which will sell organic food and beverages on the day.
HPA “Helping People Achieve” will have sale products made by Territorians with an intellectual, physical or mental disability, including the furniture used for community seating on the day.
There will also be interactive sessions, special guest speakers,a ‘Kids Club’, raffles and a silent auction throughout the day.
All donations on the day will go to Camp Quality NT which supports local families going through the cancer journey.
This is a glass and alcohol free event.
