BUSHFIRES NT MESSAGE: ADVICE #3

LOCATION: Gunn Point Road, KOOLPINYAH

ALERT LEVEL: Advice - A fire has started in the area. Monitor the situation for changes.

FIRE TYPE: Bushfire.

INFORMATION CURRENT AS AT: 08/08/2024 11:00 hours.

STATUS: UNDER CONTROL - The fire is at a stage where firefighting resources are only required for patrol purposes and major re-ignition is unlikely.

RISKS FACED BY PEOPLE IN THE AREA: Smoke from this fire may affect visibility. Active fire may occur close to the roadside.

WHAT TO DO: Stay informed until threat is reduced.

ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC: Bushfires NT are continuing to monitor a fire incident near Gunn Point Road in KOOLPINYAH, west of Leaders Creek. Anyone in this area is reminded to remain vigilant about the current fire activity. Smoke may remain in the area throughout the day.
