BUSHFIRES NT MESSAGE - FIRE BAN

Issued at 1600 hours CST on Wednesday 26 February 2025.

The A/Executive Director, Bushfires NT and the Chief Fire Officer, NT Fire and Rescue Services have declared a 24-HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD for Thursday 27 February 2025 for the following areas.

The BARKLY NORTH FIRE WEATHER FORECAST DISTRICT.

This includes the BARKLY HOMESTEAD, ELLIOT, NEWCASTLE WATERS, MUCKATAY, NICHOLSON, CRESWELL, PAMAYU and RANKEN.

The Fire Ban is declared for a 24-hour period commencing at 0000 hours on Thursday 27 February 2025.

No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the portion of the Northern Territory within the fire ban areas.

The Fire Ban is valid from midnight to midnight.
