Hop down to the Darwin Waterfront on Easter Saturday (26 March) from 10am to 2pm and enjoy an eggs-citing line up of free activities.
Visit Mr & Mrs Easter Bunny in their majestic Bunny Burrow, take a photo and get a free chocolate egg and balloon. Photos will be taken by a professional photographer and shared on the Darwin Waterfront Facebook page after the event.
There’ll be plenty of fun for children of all ages with two jumping castles, a giant slip n slide for the bigger kids and a two-track water slide for the little ones.
Dance the day away with a live kids’ DJ on the lawns playing festive songs to get you in the Easter spirit. Children can participate in games and dance competition for their chance to win an Il Lido pizza voucher, passes to the new Big Buoy Water Park, Trampoline gelato voucher, or a family pass to the Wave Lagoon.
Hyper the Clown will work her balloon twisting Easter magic and make everything from bunnies, animals and flowers. A team of four face painters and glitter tattooists will create eggs-traordinary Easter faces.
Head to the art and craft stall to make your own Easter masks, Easter chicks or put the finishing touches your colouring-in competition entry. The colouring-in competition is open for all children (up to 14 years), with fantastic prizes up for grabs including an overnight stay at the Darwin Waterfront Vibe Hotel, vouchers from Surf Ski N Dive, Coffee Club, Hot Tamale and Wave Lagoon passes.
Back by popular demand, is Trampoline Gelato’s truly ‘Egg-cellent’ Easter Egg Gelato just for the occasion!
A variety of food will be available from local cafes and restaurants around the precinct, and a sausage sizzle fundraiser will also be operating during the event.
The Wave Lagoon and Big Buoy Water Park (in the Recreation Lagoon) will be open from 10am to 6pm every day over the Easter long weekend (including Good Friday).
Good Friday at Stokes Hill Wharf
The Easter Bunny with chocolate eggs will also casually visit Stokes Hill Wharf prior to Easter this Good Friday (25 March 2016), from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
This is a great opportunity to enjoy traditional fish and chips for dinner on Good Friday and capture a photo with the Easter Bunny.
Various harbour cruises will also depart from the Stokes Hill Wharf over the Easter break, including Good Friday.
