Great news for motorists travelling inbound on the Stuart Highway at The Narrows, with the upgraded Bagot Road intersection now open to traffic.

This section of the Stuart Highway is heavily used by motorists travelling inbound to the CBD. During peak times, the flow of traffic can be stalled with the line-up of motorists wanting to make a right turn onto Bagot Road.

The Territory Government has spent $600,000 improving the intersection, extending the right turning lane to address congestion issues.

While the intersection is now operational, works will continue in the area to install streetlights and complete the cycle path and landscaping.
