Media advisory: Litchfield Subregional Land Use Plan – launch of draft plan

NT Planning Commission Chairman Gary Nairn will launch a discussion paper that seeks community feedback upfront to help shape the future of the Litchfield Area Plan.

The plan covers Litchfield municipality, including rural activity centres of Berry Springs, Coolalinga/Freds Pass, Howard Springs, Humpty Doo and Pine Forest.

This is Stage 2 of the consultation process and follows Stage 1 consultations held in September-October 2015 on a discussion paper for the area.

The draft plan shows concept plans for the rural activity centres, so you can see how the local area will grow. More detailed area plans, supported by infrastructure and traffic assessments, will outline what investment is needed to bring services to the area.
