Diversity and culture celebrated at Kindness Festival
The Northern Territory’s diverse culture will be celebrated at the Darwin Waterfront this weekend at the Kindness Festival 2024.
The festival is run by the Territory’s international student population as a way to come together and showcase the vast diversity of people that call the region home.
The free family-friendly festival which began in 2021 will feature performances, including cultural dancing and music, stalls, food trucks, children’s entertainment and the popular multi-cultural parade.
This year’s theme is Ripples of Kindness, which emphasizes how small acts of kindness can spread widely, like ripples in water. Each gesture of goodwill inspires others, creating a wave of positive change throughout the community.
People of all backgrounds and cultures are welcome to attend the inclusive festival, which will take place at the Waterfront from 4pm to 9pm on Saturday 29 June, and celebrate the vibrant communities that call Darwin home.
The Kindness Festival is run by international student group Kindness Shake and supported by Northern Territory Government through Northern Territory Major Events Company.
