Information session for Alice Springs draft regional plan

Northern Territory Planning Commission (NTPC)

Interested in learning more about the draft Alice Springs Regional Land Use Plan? Join members of the Planning Commission at a community information session on Monday 30 November 2015 to find out more and provide your feedback.

Talking with the community is key to understanding the needs and wishes of residents, owners and businesspeople, said Planning Commission Chairman, Gary Nairn.

“We are holding street stalls around Alice Springs in November and December as well as meeting with interested groups from the community,” Mr Nairn said.

He said that the draft plan focuses on sustainable economic and community growth with environmental issues important.

“The draft plan establishes an overarching regional framework to manage growth in anticipation rather than in retrospect.

“Community members are invited to come along to the information session to find out more and share their comments,” he said.

The community information session is on:

            Mon 30 Nov 2015 -5.30pm – 6.30pm

Andy McNeil Room, Town Council offices, 93 Todd St, Alice Springs
