$50,000 for travellers to redeem in NT caravan parks using Turu

The first 500 travellers who book their NT caravan park, camping ground or cabin accommodation through Turu’s online booking engine will receive 4 x $25 vouchers to redeem at their NT accommodation.

In addition all travellers who book their NT holiday through Turu will go into the draw to win an NT adventure valued at an estimated $5,000.

A campaign page which will link to Turu’s online booking engine will be developed on Tourism NT’s dedicated Drive market website http://adventurealltheway.com.au/

Turu is Australia’s most comprehensive online booking guide to holiday parks, caravan parks, camping grounds and cabins. It is part of the Bauer Media Group, recognised as Australia’s leading multi-platform publisher, with over 60 magazine titles in Australia.

Consumers can research, plan and contact each holiday park directly from Turu.com.au and book their next camping holiday in one go.  They have the choice to book their holiday via the online booking, phone or email.

To be one of the caravan parks promoted through this initiative, NT operators need to have an online listing on turu.com.au.  A basic listing is free, although packages are available for operators to develop an enhanced listing if they wish.

Local operators are encouraged to get on board before the campaign starts on 1 November.

A very competitive commission rate of only 10% applies to all online bookings.

To assist NT operators to improve their online presence, Turu is offering a three month free trial. In addition, to the above incentives, Turu will provide the following promotional support:

o   8 page editorial in Caravan World, December

o   NT Drive Map tip-on on cover of Caravan World (19,000 copies)

o   6 full page ads in Caravan World and Camper Trailer

o   Digital banners on Bauer Trader Network (300,000 impressions)

o   Digital display and retargeting ads on Google and Facebook

o   Solus Campaign EDM to Turu and Caravan World database (40,000 people)

Promotion of this campaign will take place from 1 November 2015 to 29 February 2016, with bookings valid to 30 April 2016, for travel to the NT to 31 December 2016.

This campaign aims to contribute towards growing the drive market here in the NT.

This program is part of Tourism NTs goal to achieve a $2.2 billion visitor economy by 2020.
