Springs Desert Park
Product Development Coordinator, Estelle Marshall said families can head to the
Desert Park on Easter Sunday from 12pm to 4pm to join in on their Easter Bilby
Family Fun Day.
“At the Desert Park you will be able to learn
how you can make a difference and help our endangered friends, while also
joining in on Easter Bilby craft activities, an Easter treasure hunt, Bilby
talks, Nocturnal House guided walks and competitions,” Ms Marshall said.
“Across the holidays kids can also take part
in the Desert Explorer program and our new Bilbies Home program that includes
daily guided walks and talks about the Bilby and Mala, a colouring in competition
and from 7 April to 9 April there will also be Bilby crafts and an opportunity
to meet the Red Kangaroo.

Territory
Wildlife Park
(TWP) Activities and Promotions Officer, Megan Pohlner said visitors to TWP from
Friday, 3 April until Monday, 6 April can join in on an Easter Egg Hunt where they
can crack the clues to track down eggs on their way around the Park to receive
an Easter treat at the end.
“From 7 April until 10 April our visitors can
take part in the Great Wildlife Guessing Game and our Wildlife Arts and Crafts,”
Ms Pohlner said.
“We’ll also be running our Keeper Kids
program and have a newly updated presentations timetable and Wild Encounters.”

Not to be outdone, the George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens has teamed up with Life Be in it
NT to present Healthy Holiday Fun at the Botanic Gardens on Wednesday, 8 April
until Friday, 10 April.
Botanic Gardens Visitor Services Officer, Helen Panatos said the program of free
activities will be running from 10am to 2pm each day and includes animal
encounters, Healthy Harold and Hector the Road Safety Cat appearances and
exploration walks and talks around the Gardens.
“Kids will have the chance to take part in
boat races in the creek, rockclimbing, waterslides, a range of sporting
activities, animal encounters, a bike and scooter wash, a fridge graffiti
workshop and many more activities,” Mrs Panatos said.
“The three days are packed full of fun to
keep the kids busy, while parents can relax and picnic in the Gardens or visit
Eva’s Café.”

Parks and Wildlife Commission of the NT
(PWCNT) Community Education Officers will also be running school holiday
activities in each region.
Old style kids games and activities will be
held at the Alice Springs Telegraph Station from 8 – 10 April at 10 – 11am,
while there will a spotlight walk at Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve on Wednesday,
8 April from 7:30pm – 9pm and a Walk in the Park around Leliyn Loop in Nitmiluk
National Park on Sunday, 12 April.
