Darwin’s new floating water park is here

Darwin Waterfront Corporation

Darwin’s latest attraction, a new floating water park, will commence operations tomorrow in the Darwin Waterfront’s Recreation Lagoon, just in time for the Easter break and school holidays.

The 20 metres wide and 43 metres long inflatable obstacle course is situated in the outer Recreation Lagoon, near Flyboarding. Both activities are operated within the buoys, with the outside lanes available for the public.

The activities have been selected for a trial period through the Darwin Waterfront Corporation’s Expression of Interest to operate water recreational activities, in an attempt to better utilise one of the Territory's safest places to swim.

The floating water park includes a high jump, rock wall, long jump, balance beams, slides, trampoline and more. It is designed to challenge and inspire all ages and fitness levels.

This is the future of water play, and it’s a great option for birthday parties, school holiday activities, team building or just getting out of the house.

The course is made up of Wibit products, which is top of the line in the inflatables industry and it is a unique opportunity for this side of the country.

Anyone over the age of 6 years can have a go, although those under 10 years will need to be accompanied by an adult and anyone under 18 years will need parental consent.

Raw Spirit will operate the floating water park 7 days a week from 9am to 6pm. Price to participate is $22 per person, per 50 minute session.
