The water boil alert recently issued for the communities of Gapuwiyak and Milingimbi has been cancelled. The water supplies are now fully operational and the water is safe to drink.  Taps should be run for three minutes to clear any water from the pipes before collecting water to drink or for food preparation.  Ensure taps are turned off afterwards so that water supply is not wasted.

A water boil alert is still current for the community of Galiwin’ku.  Further testing is to take place and once advice has been received that the water supply system is fully operational and the water is safe to drink the Department of Health will advise on the removal of the precautionary notice.
