The Northern Territory Government is organising a trade delegation of NT companies to the 11th Balikpapan Mining, Oil and Gas Expo - 28-30 May 2015. Expressions of interest are now open for businesses who wish to participate.
The annual Balikpapan Expo is the largest regional mining, oil and gas expo in Indonesia attracting participants from across the region.
Indonesia has a large resource sector compared to other countries in the South East Asian Region and is an ideal market for Territory businesses in the supply and service industry looking to expand their commercial trade opportunities.
The expo provides an excellent opportunity for NT businesses, with organisers expecting over 300 exhibitors and 7000 delegates to attend this year’s event. The 2015 expo will be held in the new Borneo Exhibition Centre at Manggar Beach to accommodate the growing event.
The Northern Territory Government has organised trade delegations to the expo for a number of years given the success participating businesses have achieved.
Mr Tony Copley, Managing Director of Carcom Installations will again be looking to participate in this year’s trade delegation.
“This will be our 6th year attending the Balikpapan expo, as the opportunities generated year after year, make it by far the best allocation of our marketing resources in Indonesia.”
“The assistance provided by the Northern Territory Government, particularly their in-depth knowledge of the local market and high end contacts, continue to make this successful for us every year,” Mr Copley said.
To express interest in attending, contact Brent Campbell at the Department of Business via brent.campbell@nt.gov.au or 8999 5470 by Wednesday 8 April 2015.
