The Parks and Wildlife Commission of the NT (PWCNT) is urging all waterfowl hunters to submit their permit returns for their chance to win a range of prizes.
PWCNT
Chief Wildlife Ranger Sally Heaton said permit returns are not mandatory but
have an essential role in determining the overall management of the annual
waterfowl hunting season.
“Waterfowl
hunting is enjoyed by more than 2000 Territorians each year and permit returns
help us decide the length and conditions of each waterfowl season,” Ms Heaton
said.
“Providing
a return improves our capacity to manage future waterfowl hunting seasons.
“Waterfowl
hunters who return their 2014 permits by 30 April this year automatically go
into the draw to win several prizes, which will be presented at this year’s
Northern Territory Field and Game Australia (NTFGA) Goose Expo.
“One of
the prizes to be won at this year’s Goose Expo includes a shotgun donated by NT
Field and Game Australia and the Parks and Wildlife Commission and a case of
steel shot shells donated by the NT Firearms Council.”
Permit
returns can be found at www.parksandwildlife.nt.gov.au/permits/wildlife/hunting
