Precautionary water boil alerts for all previously affected communities following Cyclone Lam have been cancelled.

Testing has confirmed today that water supplies in Galiwinku, Gapuwiyak, Bulman and Weemol are free of any harmful bacteria.

The water boil alert for Ramingining, Milingimbi and Warruwi was cancelled on Sunday.

The water supplies in all of these communities are now fully operational and the water is safe to drink. Taps should be run for three minutes to clear any water from the pipes before collecting water to drink or for food preparation.  Ensure taps are turned off afterwards so that water supply isn’t wasted.
