This is the second advice notice issued by the Department of Health for the communities of Ramingining, Milingimbi and Warruwi in relation to drinking water.
The previous “Advice No. 1” issued on 19 February 2015 at 2.00pm is now CANCELLED for the communities of Ramingining, Milingimbi and Warruwi BUT is still current for the communities of Galiwinku, Gapuwiyak, Bulman and Weemol.
The Ramingining, Milingimbi and Warruwi water supplies are now fully operational and the water is safe to drink.
Taps should be run for three minutes to clear any water from the pipes before collecting water to drink or for food preparation. Ensure taps are turned off afterwards so that water supply isn’t wasted.
Water quality sampling results, from official samples collected on the 21 February 2015 were issued by the Government laboratory today. The samples verified that the community water supply is free of any bacteria.
