BUSHFIRES NT MESSAGE: ADVICE

LOCATION: Epenarra, TABLELANDS

ALERT LEVEL: Advice - A fire has started in the area. Monitor the situation for changes.

FIRE TYPE: Bushfire.

INFORMATION CURRENT AS AT: 05/09/2023 10:00 hours

STATUS: GOING - A fire is spreading on one or more fronts. Effective containment strategies are not in place for the entire perimeter.

RISKS FACED BY PEOPLE IN THE AREA: A bushfire is running or contained under very high to extreme weather conditions.

WHAT TO DO: Stay informed until threat is reduced.

ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC: A large fire of over 336,200 hectares, is burning to the north east of the Epenarra Community. It is expected to be a prolonged incident. Bushfires NT are working with landholders and communities to reduce the impact this fire poses.
